Lid placing and closing line

Tubs of product are fed along the conveyor. At the lid placing unit there are pneumatic cylinders which stop the tub while the lid is placed from the magazine. The stop then releases and the tub travels on to the closing mechanism. The stop engages again when the photocell sees the next tub, and the lid placing operation is repeated. When the tub reaches the closing mechanism, it presses the lid onto the tub. The conveyor belt is not stopped when the stops engage. This gives an output of up to 25 units/min
