TECHNOMEDA.LT is the online shop TECHNOMEDA.LT, operated by UAB „TECHNOMEDA“, legal entity code 303991420, registered office at Kranto g. 7, LT-90168 Plungė, and available at WWW.TECHNOMEDA.LT.

Personal data means any information relating to a natural person (the data subject) whose identity is known or can be established directly or indirectly from that data (for example, your first name, surname, personal identification number, address, telephone number or other information).

In order for UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ to meet its obligations to you, UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ needs certain personal data. UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ undertakes to collect and process personal data only when, and only to the extent, necessary to achieve a specific, defined and lawful purpose. UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ takes appropriate measures to ensure that the personal data provided is always secure and that its processing complies with applicable data protection law and with internal procedure.

UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ undertakes to respect and protect the privacy and personal data of every data subject. This privacy policy therefore describes how and where UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ processes your personal data, and sets out the main rules on the collection, storage and processing of personal data when you use the services offered by TECHNOMEDA.LT.

This privacy policy can be read and printed at TECHNOMEDA.LT at any time. You will always be informed of any future changes and/or additions to the privacy policy by the new version of the privacy policy being published on TECHNOMEDA.LT, and by being given the technical means to read and confirm it the first time you connect to TECHNOMEDA.LT after a new version has been issued.

The purpose of collecting personal data

Your personal data is processed in order to:

• keep the purchasing process at TECHNOMEDA.LT running smoothly, and to make after-sales service timely and professional,
• communicate with customers and answer the questions they ask,
• make sure customer information is accurate and up to date,
• carry out direct marketing, that is, to send offers, campaigns and discounts,
• contact customers if purchases were left unfinished or a problem with a completed transaction was found.

Categories of personal data collected

UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ processes personal data in order to administer the purchasing process in the TECHNOMEDA.LT online shop. To register and buy in the TECHNOMEDA.LT online shop, the information listed below must be provided. Without the necessary personal data the purchasing process cannot be carried out, and UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ cannot sell goods or provide services. When selling goods and providing services, UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ collects the following personal data:

• First name;
• Surname;
• E-mail address;
• Address;
• Mobile telephone number.

UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ obtains personal data only from the data subjects themselves. All personal data is obtained only with your consent and used only for the purpose for which that consent was given.

By registering in the TECHNOMEDA.LT shop during the purchasing process you confirm that the personal data you have given is accurate and correct and that you are at least 16 years of age. You are responsible for the personal data you provide being correct. 

The legal basis for processing personal data

When processing personal data, UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ follows the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data), the requirements for processing personal data laid down in the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania, and other legislation relating to the protection of personal data.

UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ collects and further processes your personal data only on the lawful bases defined in legislation – in order to conclude and/or perform a contract, with your consent, where UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ is obliged to process personal data by legislation, and where the data has to be processed for the legitimate interest of UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ (only where the interests of the data subject do not override it).

Normally the legal basis for processing personal data is your contract with UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ (or a request to enter into one), that is, your wish to shop in the TECHNOMEDA.LT online shop. Personal data may also be processed on the basis of your consent (for direct marketing, for example). Your consent must be clearly expressed, freely given and set out in an understandable way, and it must state the purpose for which the data will be used. If you do not want your personal data used for direct marketing, your consent to the processing of personal data can be withdrawn simply and free of charge by contacting us by e-mail at info@technomeda.lt or by telephone on +370 61 021738. Once you opt out of receiving marketing messages, your data will no longer be processed for direct marketing purposes and will be deleted from the personal data storage systems of UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ in which personal data is kept for direct marketing purposes.

Data retention period

The personal data collected about you is stored in printed documents and in the information systems of UAB „TECHNOMEDA“. Your personal data is kept for as long as legislation requires, or in line with the purposes of the processing where a longer retention period has been set. Personal data is normally kept for as long as justified claims may arise out of the contractual relationship. Personal data that is no longer needed is destroyed.

UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ keeps the information so that it can provide the information needed if required, and so that UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ can answer any question relating to the performance of contractual obligations.

All personal data is kept in the system for as long as the warranty period of your product lasts, but not less than 3 years. 

Your personal data processed for direct marketing purposes is kept for two calendar years from the moment your personal data was provided.

Personal data protection measures

When processing personal data, UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ implements specific organisational and technical security measures which help protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, alteration, disclosure and any other unlawful processing. Security work also covers staff, information and IT infrastructure, including periodic penetration testing of internal networks and of the database, as well as the protection of office buildings and technical equipment.

UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ notes that safe shopping in the TECHNOMEDA.LT online shop is ensured by one of the world's best known secure connection certificates, SSL (Secure Socket Layer), issued by the international electronic signature certification centre "Let's Encrypt". With an SSL certificate, the information sent between a visitor's browser and the TECHNOMEDA.LT server is encrypted, so the information is secure and cannot be reached by third parties.

TECHNOMEDA.LT does not store payment system login data – buyers in the TECHNOMEDA.LT online shop enter their electronic banking or electronic payment system login details on the banks' own system pages, so this information is not available to the TECHNOMEDA.LT online shop.

Disclosure of personal data to third parties

When processing your personal data, UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ is bound by confidentiality. That obligation arises from the General Data Protection Regulation, the Civil Code of the Republic of Lithuania and the provisions of the Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Lithuania. Information may be disclosed to other parties where this is needed to conclude or perform a contract, or for other lawful reasons, and only where there is a legal basis for the disclosure. Information may also be given to other parties at the data subject's request, having regard to contractual obligations to those other parties, for example leasing companies, banks or other financial institutions. 

UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ may pass personal data to data processors (service providers) who provide services to (or carry out work for) UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ and process personal data on behalf of UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ as the data controller. Processors of your personal data may be used in the following areas: maintaining and administering the information systems of UAB „TECHNOMEDA“, sending direct marketing messages, keeping your stored personal data secure on servers, and providing legal services relating to claims you have made. Data processors have the right to process personal data only in accordance with the instructions of UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ and only to the extent necessary to perform the obligations set out in the contract. When engaging subcontractors, UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ takes all necessary measures to ensure that the data processors too have implemented appropriate organisational and technical security measures and maintain the confidentiality of personal data. 

In performing the legal obligations laid down in legislation, UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ may, on receiving a request, pass personal data to law enforcement authorities and to state and municipal institutions. In such cases UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ will assess the requests received solely with regard to your rights and the protection of personal data, and will disclose your personal data to those institutions only where it is satisfied that the disclosure is necessary, proportionate and unavoidable and that there is a legal basis for it. UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ may also pass personal data to law enforcement authorities and to state and local government institutions in order to pursue the legitimate interest of establishing, exercising and defending legal claims, as provided for by the General Data Protection Regulation.

Personal data is not transferred to or processed outside the territory of the EU.

The rights of data subjects

You have the right to:

• receive information about the personal data UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ holds about you, where and how that personal data was collected and how it is processed;
• ask UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ to correct your personal data, to stop processing it or to destroy it, where the data is incorrect, incomplete or inaccurate, or where it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected. A request must be submitted, and on receiving it UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ checks the information provided and takes the necessary steps;
• ask UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ to destroy your personal data or to stop processing it, other than a request to stop storing it. Such data will only stop being stored if, on examining the personal data, it is established that it is being processed unlawfully or unfairly;
• object to your personal data being processed where that data is processed, or is intended to be processed, for direct marketing purposes or for a legitimate interest pursued by UAB „TECHNOMEDA“ or by a third party to whom the personal data is disclosed;
• withdraw at any time the consent you have given to your data being processed for direct marketing purposes;
• data portability, and the right to demand that your data be erased (the "right to be forgotten") or to ask that its processing be restricted.
